1. My hair is naturally curly.
2. I absolutely LOVE roller coasters. The crazier the ride, the better.
3. I am a Registered Nurse which has turned out to be one of the biggest blessings that I use every day on the mission field.
4. I said I would never be a missionary to Russia. :) Never say 'never'.
5. The chore I dislike the most is washing dishes.
Well, there you have it. Five facts about me. Now I am linking back to the Baptist Missionary Women blog since I am the last blog for you to visit! Thanks for stopping by! Drop in again as I do my best to post some late posts before gardening season arrives!
I used to love roller coasters, but haven't been on one in a few years! We used to live close to Hershey Park and would go a few times every year! Thanks for joining in the blog hop!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Hershey Park, Jen. My favorite places as a kid growing up were King's Island and Cedar Point. Both parks have lots of roller coasters! :)
DeleteThanks for sharing! It's fun getting to know people a little better this way.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Aleassa! It was fun!
DeleteMany times I've told my husband I wish I had some medical training! I'm sure it's very valuable on the mission field! I really enjoyed your five facts!
ReplyDeleteYes, Carole, I think it is one area that if a young lady told me she was going to the field but was still considering a degree in the medical field I would say, "Go for it!" :) It is very useful!
DeleteMy sister has amazing naturally curly hair like yours. Love it! Bet it would be great in a humid climate, though I guess you don't have that there do you?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Amy! It was terrible when I was at college in Florida! But, now I am thankful. We supposedly have higher humidity but not like we did in Florida. :)
DeleteI miss rollercoaster rides. I am afraid of heights, but give me a coaster any day! Haha!
ReplyDeleteI got to ride one on our last furlough with our kids and my husband. I hadn't ridden one in years! I loved it! But, now that I am a Momma, I was thinking I didn't want them to ride it because they might get hurt! :)
DeleteGood memory... We used that quote from Ruth in our wedding vows. :) Roller coasters make me quite ill and it has been YEARS since I've been on one, thankfully! There are a lot of women missionaries who are also thankful that you are a nurse. :) Thanks for your good post. :)
ReplyDeleteWe had a song called "Whither Thou Goest," in our wedding. :) Yes, roller coasters are not for everyone! :) Thank you for stopping by, Heidi! :)
DeleteIt's so crazy, because I never would have guessed you did not want to go to Russia. Your love for the people and place you serve shines so brightly.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carie. What a sweet thing to say. I prayed and asked God to give me a love for the people so that when things got rough, love for the people would help me through those times. He has been so faithful and good to do just that! I am so glad we have had the chance to get to know each other better through BMW!
DeleteHi DeeDee. I'm a PW from Temple, GA enjoying this blog hop and getting to know missionaries around the world. I share your love of roller coasters, but unfortunately I am the ONLY one in my family that loves them. In order to get my Six Flags fix for the year (the place you go to in Georgia that has several really big roller coasters), I usually put together a Six Flags day for our teen girls' Sunday School class. There's usually at least one brave one in the bunch that will ride with me. Thanks for sharing a little about yourself and for your service to the Lord.
