The kids and I took our time planning their costumes and sewing the parts to complete their looks for the Harvest Party. I did my best to keep them focused on costumes that were within normal limits for me to make! One beautiful, but crisp evening after the party, I took our kids down to our corn field to take some pictures of our own. We had lots of fun and took lots of pictures as you can see!
Our daughter - A Fairy
She looks a bit stiff because she was freezing! |
Her dress was completely made by hand with her choice of colors. |
Our oldest son - Zorro
Pants were his; cape, mask, and bandana made my Mom. Shirt (bought at a second hand store for one dollar) re-sized and redesigned by Mom. |
Our youngest son - A pirate
Pants were his; shirt, scarf, belt, and vest bought at a second hand store. |
So glad these costumes are done and all the kids were satisfied with how they turned out. So, if you have great costumes, you have to take a few fun "action" shots!
We are already looking forward and planning next year's costume! Hope I get started a bit earlier on the sewing!
LOVE our kids!
Awesome costumes!!! You did great and the kids look great.
ReplyDeleteOh, my boys would LOVE those costumes!!! (My daughter hasn't quite gotten into the girly costumes yet... to much male influence around her! LOL!)
ReplyDeleteI made Zorro costumes for my boys a few years ago, and the fun thing about them is that they can still use them years later.... at least the cape and mask pretty much fit for many years.
You did an AWESOME job, and I love all of the pictures you took.
Also, I LOVE the new look of your blog. SOOOOO pretty! Great job, my friend!
Thank you Rachel and Jolene for the sweet comments! I am so glad you girls like the blog! :) I think this design will do me for a while. Ha!
